Preparing for Christmas!

We took some time to prepare the Christmas Crib in our Community Chapel... But we are very pleased with the final result : )

We wish you all vocation centre members, a blessed Christmas filled with the love and joy of God who made Himself man, so that we might share in His life and love...

Hope to see you all for the Christmas party on the 27th of December at St Monica School Gzira.

Let's go to the movies! : )

This Friday (Friday 7th December) all Vocation Centre members are invited to a movie. We will be leaving school together at about 2pm to go to the Empire Cinema in Bugibba. We will be watching the movie Nativity 2, which will be released on the same day we will be watching it. It is a Christmas comedy. Your parents will pick you up from school at 6pm.

You have to post the form not later than Thursday 6th December. Any late comers will not be accepted.

Attention Form 1 and 2 Vocation Centre Members Gzira

All those who are taking part in the concert for the missions, this Friday, by singing or dancing the song: 'I believe in Jesus', will meet Sr Veronica at 6.15pm. We will meet in St Monica School B'Kara grounds, same as last Saturday. Parents will pick you up at around 7pm from the same place. Thanks and God bless you.

Attention Form 3-5 students

All Form 3-5 students are invited to an activity together with the Archbishop on the occasion of the feast of Christ the King. The activity will be held on Friday 23rd November from 6.30pm to 9.00pm, in Sghajtar Pastoral Centre Naxxar. We encourage to attend together with many teens from around Malta.

Christ the King Activity

Hi girls. All Form 1 and Form 2 students who will be singing or dancing in this Saturday (24th November), Christ the King activity, will be meeting Sr Veronica and Voc Centre Sisters in St Monica B'Kara grounds... (Entrance from Brighella Street, the street, parallel to the main door of the school) at 3.15 p.m. Your parents or anyone who will be picking you up, is to come for you at the same place at 5.30 p.m.

All Form 1 and Form 2 students, interested in joining even if you're not taking part, are most welcome to do so. We will all meet in St Monica B'Kara grounds.

Rehearsals for Christ the King Activity

Saturday 17th November, we will meet at St Monica B'Kara @ 11.30am. The rehearsal will only take 30 mins. Please make sure you wear the clothes you will be wearing on the day of the activity and please be punctual... See you tomorrow girls : ) God bless you...

Christ the King dance to be repeated

All form 1 and form 2 Gzira Vocation Centre students taking part in the singing and dancing during Christ the King activity, please check if you can come again on the 30th of November at 6.15pm. There will be a concert in aid of our missions and we have been asked to repeat the dance during the concert.

I need you to confirm by tomorrow 8th November.

Kennedy Grove Outing Photos

Although the weather is not 100% convincing, we are asking you to be brave and join us for the outing! : )... We are going to Kennedy Grove, hoping that the weather will spare us!

Kennedy Grove Outing

As we agreed, we will post again tomorrow regarding the outing, to tell you whether it will be taking place or not depending on the weather. 

Some of you asked where we will meet in case you will not come with the transport provided. We will meet at 1.45 in front of Bella Vista Hotel, which is on the way to Qawra.

Rehearsals for Christ the King Activity

Form 1 students who are going to sing, please take note that you will have rehearsals every Monday during break. We will inform you if we think you need more rehearsals.

Form 2 students, you will continue meeting every Tuesday and Thursday during break.

Both groups will have their general rehearsal on 17th November at 11.30 am at St Monica School B'Kara. We will meet there at 11.15 am. It will only take about 30 minutes.

Friday's Outing

For all those who are asking, this Friday you come for the outing in casual clothes not in school uniform! Just wear clothes in which you feel comfortable to play... Also, bring a packed lunch with you. You will not be able to buy food, because if I'm not mistaken there are no shops close by. So make sure you get what you need with you.

You may bring mobiles and cameras, however you have to be responsible for them yourselves.

Outing - Kennedy Grove

All Vocation Centre Members are invited to an outing

Place: Kennedy Grove

Date: 2nd November

Members will meet at their school and leave from there with the transport available. You are expected to be at school not later than 1.30 pm. We will leave from Kennedy Grove to go back to school at 5 pm. Bring a packed lunch or snacks with you, as well as things you would like to play with.

Please make sure to post the form which was given to you on commitment day, by not later than Monday 30th October. If you were sick and could not attend commitment day, than make sure you get a form on Monday from one of the Vocation Centre sisters and hand it in on Tuesday. We need to know how many of you are coming, to book transport. Also if you're not using transport, please indicate on the form.

It is another opportunity to enjoy ourselves in each other's company as a whole group that believes in the value of friendship in Jesus. This time we will also have with us our Form 1 members... So a big welcome to our youngest members!

It is very important to check the blog for new info about the outing. Especially if it is bad weather, you need to know whether the outing will take place or not. We will advice you on the day in the morning. So please make sure you check!

During Christ the King Activity for Children, our Form 2 members will dance with this song, and our Form 1 members will sing... We're posting the song here, so it will be available for you our younger members who will represent all our group in this special activity for children from all over Malta!

Commitment Day

On Friday 26th October, all members of Vocation Centre from Form 2 to Form 5 will promise their commitment to the group for this year. We will be leaving our Gzira and B'Kara schools at 2pm to meet at the Salesian Oratory in Dingli. There we will spend time together, enjoying each other's company and we will promise to be committed to the Vocation Centre during this year, not only by attending the activities but most importantly by living our motto: One heart and One soul in Jesus each moment and in every place we find ourselves in. In this way every member will be united to all the other members through the presence of Jesus our faithful and loving friend, who makes all our friendships a beautiful experience. We will leave Dingli at 4.30pm and return to our respective schools.
