Hike

Hello girls... tomorrow we will be leaving for hike at Dingli, from St Monica B'kara and St Monica Gzira @ 2.30pm... We will leave from Dingli to return to both schools @ 6pm... see you :)

Carnival Party

All voc centre members from Form 1 to Form 5 are invited to the Carnival Party, which will be held at St Monica Gzira, on the 11th of February from 7-9pm.

Please make sure to get a permission form to come to the party, from school this Monday. Closing date to post the form together with the money for the Carnival Party, in the Vocation Centre box, is Wednesday 6th February.

A Warm Welcome!

Welcome back to school to all Vocation Centre members as well as all St Monica students! Hope you had a good time with your family and friends, during your holidays. May the love of Jesus who was born into the world for love of us, accompany you throughout the year 2013.

We will be starting again Vocation Centre meetings on Friday 18th January. Until then, may God bless you!

Preparing for Christmas!

We took some time to prepare the Christmas Crib in our Community Chapel... But we are very pleased with the final result : )

We wish you all vocation centre members, a blessed Christmas filled with the love and joy of God who made Himself man, so that we might share in His life and love...

Let's go to the movies! : )

This Friday (Friday 7th December) all Vocation Centre members are invited to a movie. We will be leaving school together at about 2pm to go to the Empire Cinema in Bugibba. We will be watching the movie Nativity 2, which will be released on the same day we will be watching it. It is a Christmas comedy. Your parents will pick you up from school at 6pm.

You have to post the form not later than Thursday 6th December. Any late comers will not be accepted.

Welcome

The St Monica Schools Vocation Centre is intended to provide opportunities that continue to aid the students’ human and spiritual formation. Its members are students from Form 1 to Form 5, who join the group voluntarily. The Vocation Centre aims at helping its members grow in self-awareness, in their relationship with Jesus and with others. The ultimate aim is that of helping each member live her life as a calling from God who has a special plan for each one of us; a plan that will lead us to our own fulfilment and happiness; hence the name ‘Vocation Centre’. The Vocation Centre’s Motto: One heart and one soul in Jesus, is an expression of our Augustinian Spirituality and expresses our commitment to these students to help them become true Christians through the values of friendship and solidarity, which result from their relationship with Jesus. Vocation Centre members meet every Friday, after school, till 3 pm. During these meetings, they have the opportunity to socialize and grow in friendship through fun activities, such as sport, dance and drama, and to pray and grow spiritually through the prayer-meetings that follow these activities. Apart from the Friday meetings, other activities are organised, such as hikes, films and parties in winter, and swimming and summer camps in summer. For older students overnight seminars are also organized.
